High Torque Drive (HTD) Timing belts provide all the benefits of a V-belt plus a chain and sprocket without the drawbacks of these more traditional drive methods. Minimal elongation, no metal-to-metal contact, and lubrication are not required. Timing belts, also called synchronous belts, are incredibly adaptable and found in many different industries, mainly in low to medium power ranges.
