Steel Tooth Gear Coupling Hubs

Steel gear hubs are designed in 2 categories; single engagement or rigid hubs and double engagement or flex hubs.  Steel gear hubs supplied by Maxtran are stock bore hubs for both double and single engagement couplings.  Flex hubs have precision machined teeth teeth that mate with a flex sleeve to transmit torque and accommodate equipment shaft misalignment. A rigid hub is a solid unit with a machined sleeve as an integral part of the hub.  They do not have teeth and can be machined to any shaft size.  Maxtran stocks flex hubs and rigid hubs in sizes 1 thru 7 with a pilot bore for custom shaft machining to your specifications.
