Gear Coupling Sleeves

Double engagement steel tooth gear couplings will not work without a precision machined mated coupling sleeve.  The sleeves have large heavy duty flanges with circular bolt holes around the outer circumference for easy mounting and maintenance.  The internal gear teeth are machined to have perfectly aligned engagement with applicable machined gear hubs.  Maxtran offers gear coupling sleeves in exposed bolt and shrouded bolt (recessed) bolt designs. Our coupling sleeves are made in the USA from AISI 4140 Alloy Steel with metallic molded seals to maintain proper lubricant retention during misalignment conditions. The teeth are hobbed at the same time as the gears with standard 20 degree pressure angles for uniformity when engaged.  All heat treated bolts are sold separately.  Maxtran has an extensive inventory of steel tooth gear coupling sleeves in size 1 (1010G) thru size 7 (1070G) for any industry and application.
