Gear Coupling Assembly
A complete coupling assembly, as stated, has every item needed to operate your drive system without having to guess which pieces match. Regardless of whether the coupling assembly is single engagement G52 (rigid half-to-rigid half) or double engagement G20 (flex half-to-flex half), it comes with a grade 5 hardware kit that includes exposed bolts or shrouded bolts, depending on the type of flange, and a gasket kit (if required). In a traditional four-bearing arrangement, the driven shaft and driving shaft each have two bearings. A complete coupling is required, and there will be some degree of offset and angular shaft misalignment. A benefit of purchasing a whole coupling is that, unlike individual components, they may be used interchangeably with all competitors as a full assembly or a partial assembly. Our USA-made couplings have big gear tooth pitch widths, high torque capacity, tight tolerance flange and bolt holes, and high misalignment capability up to 1-1/2 inches per coupling half. To enable you to mill any size shaft you need for your application, we supply steel gear components in pilot bores in sizes 1 (1010G) through 7 (1070G).
