Wave Rings

The WaveRing is an axial wave-shaped spiral retention ring. With the added benefit of compressibility, it functions similarly to a typical holding ring. It serves as a retaining ring while making up for the overall length tolerance of stacked components. After assembly, the WaveRing will lessen assembly vibration and looseness. The WaveRing is made to slide into a groove and exert pressure against the assembly's parts as well as the groove wall. The WaveRing comes in a variety of materials, including our usual 17-7 ph stainless steel and carbon steel, and can have one, two, or more turns.
