Kevlar® FHP V-Belts [3LK-4LK-5LK-MXV]
Suitable for lawn and garden applications, light-duty fractional horsepower (FHP) v-belts are constructed from dry wrapped Kevlar cables. These belts cost a fraction of what the original equipment manufacturer's belts for your new lawnmower, snow blower, edger, or tractor cost. In lawn mowers, Kevlar V-belts are most frequently used. Almost all lawn mowers employ Kevlar fractional and traditional dry-wrapped v-belts because of these factors, particularly during the summer when a long-lasting belt is required. Although they are most frequently employed in lawn mowers, Kevlar V-belts can be used in a variety of other applications. They have the same part numbers as rubber belts, however the part names have a "K" at the end. Instances are 3LK, 4LK, and 5LK. The nominal thickness and top width are the same as those of rubber FHP and traditional v-belts. Some benefits of Kevlar v-belts that are dry wrapped include They are less likely to slip when clutching, can tolerate a high degree of reverse bending and twisting, have a higher tensile strength (high resistance to larger shock loads) than standard v-belts, and are more resistant to heat, weather, oil, and cracking than standard corded belts. They also have a uniform design that offers lateral rigidity.
