Single V-Belts

In USA, Maxtran boasts the most extensive selection of v-belts.  For every sector and application, we have more than a million v-belts in stock in every size and shape. To transfer power between rotating shafts, V-belts are mounted to pulleys. Their V-shaped form, which snugly fits into the pulley's groove, gives them their name. The correct fit and tension of a V-belt in a driving system are largely determined by its length and cross-sectional dimensions. There are two different v-belt configurations for each belting type classification: standard smooth and cogged tooth single V-belts.  Classic sizes A through E, wedge sizes 3V through 8V, and metric sizes SPA through SPZ are all available in cogged or smooth tooth versions.  An "X" is added to the part number to indicate that the belt is a cogged version.  For instance, the AX20 is the cogged version, whereas the A20 is a smooth belt.  Despite being the largest belt configuration, cogged V-belts operate cooler than conventional V-belts. Additional V-belt variants include low duty 2L, 3L, 4L, and 5L belts for fractional horsepower (FHP) applications, as well as metric V-belts scaled according to European standards DIN 7753 and ISO 4184.  To facilitate the interchange and replacement of V-belts, the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers (ARPM) has established standards for all standard V-belts, whether they are cogged or smooth.
