Wedge Banded V-Belts [3V-5V-8V]

The tough wedge v-belt is also known as a multi-rib wedge v-belt. Wedge banded v-belts are a great option for almost any application where more horsepower and output are required, or when space or weight constraints make traditional multiple belt drives unfeasible. Clutching activities are best suited for the particularly compounded wrapped construction. Banded V-belts are perfect for drives with very large center distances and drives that are pulsing or substantially shock loaded. In addition to dissipating static and resisting turning over or jumping off the drive, the Wedge-Band is resistant to heat and oil. For long center distance drives, Maxtran's wedge banded smooth v-belts in sizes 3V, 5V, and 8V reduce belt whip and rollover, enable smoother clutching, and save weight and space in the drive system. Because their polyester cord is chemically coated to withstand belt stretch, wedge banded v-belts' larger cord adds strength and stability.  To permanently join several belts together, they use tie-band, which is highly developed and allows the belts to work as a single unit with uniform load distribution and wear.  Significant vibration dampening occurs as high shock loads are absorbed.
