Metric Banded V-Belts [SPA-SPB-SPC-SPZ]

In essence, a metric banded V-belt is a machine belt made of two or more metric V-belts that have been banded together to make it thicker, stronger, and more stiff. They are employed when the machine's pulley design calls for two or more metric V-belts to be connected in order to connect several pulley drives and prevent belt turnover or load variations. Metric V-belts have the potential to produce 50–100% more horsepower than traditional sectioned belts with a comparable top width. This is accomplished by improved cord manufacture, dimensional adjustments, and the best possible placement of the cord line. When the cable is moving, these metric wedge V-belt features give it the finest support possible. Maintaining the right tension in the drive is crucial for the wedge drive to operate at its best. The wedged design will lose its effectiveness if this isn't done.
