Classic Cogged Banded V-Belts [AX-BX-CX]
Traditional cogged section banded V-belts offered by Maxtran are made of several V-belts fused together to form ribs in a V-belt with reinforced backing. They come in sizes AX, BX, and CX and have a classic cogged tooth design. Each banded V-belt has a nominal thickness (actual dimensions may vary somewhat) and a top width that changes according to the number of ribs. Cogged V-belts are identified by a "X" and feature grooves running the length of the belt. Because the cogs enable the belt to bend and flex against the pulley, dispersing heat, they operate cooler than conventional V-belts. Drive systems that need power transfer of at least one horsepower employ these V-belts. Because the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers (ARPM) established their dimensional and functional designations to facilitate consistent brand exchange, these fully interchangeable v-belts can be used in place of any other belt of the same size.
