Banded V-Belts
Our cogged and banded standard V-belts are made by fusing two or more single V-belts together to form ribs in a strengthened backing. Their banded cover, also known as a multi-groove or combination V-belt, gives more rigidity than several separate V-belts and an extra layer of protection from heat and oil. We can cut your belt to whatever custom rib count width you require for the sleeves, and we have every size and rib count you could possibly want at Maxtran. Single belts may whip, turn over, or slide off the pulley due to vibration, misalignment, and speed variations. These belts are utilized in situations where several V-belts are required. "X" is used to identify cogged V-belts, which feature grooves running the length of the belt. These banded standard and cogged V-belts are divided into groups based on their cross sectional measurements and performance-influencing characteristics. These classifications are established by the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers (ARPM) to facilitate V-belt replacement and interchange.
