Angular Contact Bearings

Ball bearings featuring angular contact are capable of supporting axial and radial loads at the same time. Their inner and outer ring raceway designs are in opposition to one another with respect to the bearing axis. Applications with low-to-moderate axial loads and moderate-to-high radial loads are advised to use angular contact ball bearings. They are frequently found in compressors, pumps, and industrial gearboxes. For general-purpose applications where the axial load is only applied in one direction, single-row angular contact bearings are used. They are independent bearings that aren't meant to be paired or integrated with other bearings. Double-row angular contact bearings minimize shaft area by functioning as a duplex, or a matched set of single bearings positioned back-to-back. Both axial loads can be accommodated by them.
